Titanic : The Mission, Industrial Heritage On The Box

Six months of 2010 was almost solely dedicated to making this programme, and having never worked in television before it was an eye opener. Not least for the work involved, but moreso the realisation of how many people work so hard behind the camera and in production, to them a big thank you.

However within those six months we built the Bow, Anchor, Smoking Room, Third Class Cabin, Oven, Electric Horse, Lifejackets and a host of other parts of the infamous liner RMS Titanic.

As well as the amazing opportunity to build some of the most iconic sculptural components of the Edwardian age in their original ways I met some great friends too. Wandy, Brendan and Dave as well as the crew made the whole experience something special.

Without hesitation I can say that bringing the anchor home to my birthplace of the Black Country was one of the proudest achievements of my life. The ambition and achievements of what we did during that series will glow forever in my memory, not just for the experience, but mainly because almost everything which we built we gave to the communities which originally made them and as a public artist I can see no greater tribute or thanks than that.
